(Bow)Tie Me Up

This past summer I kept myself occupied by tackling to trials and tribulations of working in retail. I guess I really lucked out when I joined the Club Monaco team, not to mention that I worked at the Bloor Street location. I was the youngest one there, me being 18 when I got the job, and it was a major wake up call to add a sense of sophistication to my daily wardrobe. I've always wanted to try wearing a bow-tie but never was pushed into it until this summer. Funny enough the bow-tie I'm wearing in my photo series is actually a women's hair bow that i made into a clip on bow-tie. It was $2.00 and definitely my summer steal!

I found that by working there over the summer I really polished up my wardrobe and matured in a sense fashion wise. I threw away by dirty moccasins and traded them in for suede loafers, or patent leather in this case. Club Monaco is all about the refined, effortless look, hence the cuffed jean and sleeve are a must. I finally whipped out my old Dior sunglasses that have been collecting dust on my window cill ever since I bought my Ray-Ban aviators.

Be sure to check out the Club Monaco website to see more looks just like this!

*NOTE* You should all know I HATE editing photos on the website Picnik, but I have to admit the effects button really does add a certain vintage effect to this photo series.
